Are there any activities not recommended with braces?

Just wondering if there's anything you just can't do with braces on.... I play soccer and I want to take show jumping up again this summer and I was wondering if that puts my braces at risk.... Maybe I would have to wear a mouthguard?

Yeah I think you are fine with most things.
You obviously can't get a properly fitted mouthguard with braces though, because each time your teeth move it will no longer fit.
I play softball and was given a loose fitting mouthguard which was so uncomfortable I never bothered with it. The main issue you have is your lips ending up cut, because your braces will keep your teeth in.

When I was a teenager (back in the dark ages), a boy in my class had to wear headgear to school every day. One day he got hit square in the face with a basketball. :o  It wasn't a pretty sight. I can't think of anything I wouldn't try with braces - if I had a good mouth guard.
