I'M NAKED!

After almost five years, my braces are finally off!

I went in at 9am, but they didn't get started until 9:25! Talk about antsy!

The molar bands (all 6 of them) and the brackets popped right off, but the removal of the cement was terrible! She used some sort of hand tool scraper, and I felt it constantly scraping every tooth. I thought she was taking off my enamel! Thankfully she wasn't. I didn't have any marks from the brackets; however, I've got decalcification and two cavities on two premolars (top left and bottom right) because the molar bands I had on them lost chunks of cement which food got stuck into. So I've got to go to the dentist to have taken care of.

My retainers come in in two weeks, and the ortho told me that those pesky gaps bothering me would be closed in no time with my retainer!

Mary, I am right behind you. I get impressions made for a bite positioner next Wednesday, and will be in retainers by Nov. 1st.
Had Damon 3 / Smart Clips for almost 2 years
Now in Hawley upper 10 hours/day, permanent lower retainers

Cissa your teeth look great! Very smooth and like other people said an awesome natural rounded edge and gleam. And wowzers, almost five years! You deserve an award - that's a lot of painful and pokey days to go through... but so worth it, what a dazzling smile :D
