Eyehartewe, how does it feel not to bump your tongue into your canines at the roof of your mouth? Mine get in the way when I talk and I pray that the braces will move them into place. your story is encouraging. Mine grew out on their own behind the babies. it's like having shark teeth.
did your palate (the roof of your mouth) heal up quickly? I've always wondered how it would look up there once the teeth move.

It feels great to not feel my canine on the roof of my mouth anymore!
The roof of my mouth healed pretty well, but there's honestly an "indent" and quite a bit of overexposed tooth on that side.
My ortho says it's still because it's all new though and he expects the gum to grow down some more over time I hope so!
The front doesn't look so bad though, I have a small "scar" on my gums where it creases a little bit where the incision was made for my 2nd sugery.
