Bonded lower retainer + Half Naked - *PICTURES*

Bonded lower retainer + Half Naked - *PICTURES*

#1 Post by oceanblue »

So that's what my bonded retainer looks like. There is a small dot of glue connecting each tooth to the wire. It doesn't hurt, but my tongue likes to mess with it! It does take some getting used to just like braces do.

This is my "half naked" picture. My teeth look "yuck yellow" in this picture, but (I think) that my camera makes them look more yellow than they are. Plus you can tell my poor gums are trying to recover from the braces.

What do you think?!

They look fantastic (and not yellow at all). Wow, congrats! You must be ecstatic with that result. Your bonded looks very minimal too. I am *still* trying to keep my tongue off of mine, and it's been almost two months! Your dots of glue looks smaller than mine (yay). Congrats again!

Thanks guys for the nice comments! By the way, getting my lower metal braces off didn't hurt at all. The broke the "seal" of the glue by doing something to the last right bracket and then they all came off (brackets still attached to the wire). Then she sanded off the glue and bonded on my lower retainer wire. It was pretty quick and not at all painful. Hopefully getting my top ceramic brackets off in a week and a half goes as well too!
