I've tried with the search but can't seem to find a straight answer. I don't have my braces off right now but can tell that there will be some white stains visible when they come off. I was just wondering if there is anything to fix these? I'd pay anything to get my teeth all the same color. I've heard people mentioning polishing the teeth and a few other things. But still don't have a definitive answer.
Thanks

Ok, I'm not sure if this would be a stain or if the tooth that wasn't covered with the brackets colored. I have one question to ask you. Do you use whitening tooth paste even though you have braces? You see this will cause stains, but usually yellowish stains under your brackets. Another thing that I thought if, is if your teeth were really white before you got your braces, what was covered hasn't met with anything but the cement. This would cause your uncovered tooth to become a different/ dingy color than what is covered. I hope I have helped, if not try to explain to me what you are asking, because I answered according to what I understood by your question. Also you could ask your dentist or your orthodontist about it. let me know if I helped you or not.

It's definitely worth trying to remineralise such white spots, since they represent soft spots (where calcium has been lost) in the enamel that are more susceptible to decay. As to the colour, some pros have told me whitening should even out the tooth colour, whereas others have told me that whitening can sometimes make these spots even more obvious Sorry I can't give you a more useful answer than that. What I suggest is that once your braces are off, you go for a thorough cleaning and check-up at your general dentist, and if after the cleaning and polishing there are white spots, discuss with your dentist what he would recommend to deal with them.
Good luck.
Yeah, those are them. And just to make sure you guys don't judge me on my teeth cleaning ability. I just went through a major, life threatening illness and brushing my teeth was not on the long list of body care procedures, I guess you could call them that, I had to complete each day.
How would I go about making these spots better? I would rather have my teeth discolored than with holes in them. There are two spots that I 100% know are there, it's just that they're on both of my central incisors (two front teeth). They're extremely tiny so I hope they shouldn't be too hard to fix.
