Gum condition before and after braces

I just had a general appointment with my dentist - we did a comparison of things before and after my braces, and he said that my gums were slightly more inflamed after braces than before.

How did everyone else compare before and after braces?

Same thing here . . . he said I had a little inflamation but after 4 years in braces, he said it is to be expected. I think they have gotten better though. I've been out of my braces a little over a month and I can tell a little difference.

I had considerable gum irritation or to be more precise, damage, but nothing I could not live with. However, with proper care it is not a problem, and the overall results are awesome... Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
