Well, getting one baby tooth and one wisdom tooth pulled was Phase 1.
Having my braces was Phase 2.
And, now I've just entered Phase 3 of my dental adventures. I had my implants put in today. Well, it was just the start. I got the little metal brackets in my jaw. No problems, no bleeding. I do have pain pills and I did take some Triazolam before I went in, so I was pretty relaxed. The only thing I notice is a little bit of pain where I think they put in all of the injections to numb my mouth.
I'm not supposed to chew for about 2 weeks and I have Chlorhexidine mouthwash which may stain my teeth and fillings. But, knock wood, that sounds like the worst part of it.
Just entered Phase 3 (implant surgery)

Thanks for all of the encouragement. One "good news" thing was that I didn't need any bone grafts.
I'm switching back to the "soft food" list for the next two weeks. Tonight - eggplant Parmesan with apple crisp for dessert. Tomorrow - Martha Stewart's made-from-scratch macaroni and cheese. You may not like Martha Stewart, but her mac-and-cheese recipe is first rate!

Congrats on beginning the end of your journey, Betty Bat. I think you'll love it when you're finished restoring your implants. I had my molar implant placed in mid-April and just got the final crown placed last week. It is so nice to have a full set of teeth to chew with again! Good luck!!!
