New QMC Retainers/Nance Permanent Retainers

I was wondering if anyone on this site has either heard of or has the new QMC Removable Retainers? I saw them when I went for an Ortho Consult and did not know that now some Orthos are using those in place of Howleys (they look like a Howley Retainer, just the bow in the front is clear and the metal wires are in the back so they're more discrete). I was also wondering if anyone who has a bonded retainer was ever given what lookes like a nance appliance behind their top front teeth with a wire curved and only placed there, no other wire behind the rest of the social six? I thought it looked a little weird to me when he had suggested that with a normal fixed retainer on bottom after treatment is done with removable QMC Retainers, where two of my top teeth are the crowded ones (left front tooth and the incisor to the left of it goes behind my front tooth). I'd be afraid even with wearing a removable retainer that those two will return to how they are. I wasn't sure if this was an odd question to ask since I have never seen the new QMC Retainers before that consult and did not know about a Nance being used as a Permanent retainer. Please comment.
