experience with a modified spring retainer?

As shown in my other post, i'm very unsatisfied with the way my lateral incisors have shifted. I was wondering if any of you have (or know about) a modified spring retainer and if it does a good job with rotating these teeth outward at all? Any other suggestions of what could work in my situation greatly appreciated- i'm going to visit a new ortho on tuesday and want to be prepared!
