Is this normal? I am wearing a hawley retainer at night to finish closing a couple of gaps. I have had this retainer for a couple of months now with no issues. A week or so ago I noticed the gums were sensitive around this one tooth while flossing, but now I can barely brush it. It does not hurt at all any other time except when I try to brush/floss. The gums do not appear red or swollen.
Is this normal due to the teeth being moved, or could it be something else?
