July Debrace Club

If you have finished with your orthodontic treatment and are wearing retainers (or will be soon), this is a special place to connect with others in your (enviable) situation. Ask a question or make a comment about life post-braces.

July Debrace Club

#1 Post by jackjack »

Hello:)

I saw someone had a January debrace club and decided to start a July debrace club. I get my molar bands off and impressions on July 14, and the rest off with retainers 1-2 weeks later. Any other July peeps here?

25 years old
4 pre-molar extractions
24 months braced
Wisdom teeth extracted?

Will find out but I think I may be either getting a new set of retainers or re-braced. Got my update here

8 July for me at 13.35, braces removed & bonded upper & lower retainers, then impressions. Collect removable retainers the next day to wear evening & night for the first year followed by 3 nights a week.

July 13th for me! Thank godness that it's not Friday the 13th, haha. When I get them off, I will have had braces for 832 days and 1 hour, exactly (I found a neat calculator for the time between days; if you want to know exactly how long you were braced, google date duration calculator :D ). Wish me luck! I'll do the same for everyone in this AWESOME club!

It was great, thanks, only a little painful (when removing the glue). I picked my essix retainers today and so far so good. I'm really happy with my teeth and I am proud to say that I now have a beautiful smile!!! I know that you must be feeling the same way about now... :D
