Tightening Permanent Retainer

Hi

So three days ago, I got a permanent retainer installed on the back of my top six teeth. The one I have on is not the straight one that goes all across, but the flossable wavy one (not sure about the correct terminology). Anyway, my question is: is it possible for my ortho to tighten it without removing the entire thing altogether as I feel like my two front teeth are starting to develop a very, very, very slight gap? If not, how is this done?
