Braces removed earlier today.

Hi there!

I got my braces remove around 6 hours ago (3rd feb). I had impressions taken, and will be going back to see my orthodontist on Monday 6th Feb.
The main reason I had braces was because of a huge gap in between my front top teeth (could fit a £1 coin and 5p piece next to each other in the gap).

I'm worried, my teeth have already started moving, a gap in between my front upper teeth has re appeared.

My questions are:
1. Will the gap just keep getting bigger and bigger until I get the retainer?
2. Will the retainer move the teeth back into the position they were when I had the impressions taken?

I'm worried that the gap will not be closed, 2 years of braces for nothing.
