I only wear my retainer at night. I have three road trips coming up over the next few months. I was planning to pack my retainer in my luggage which will be in the trunk of the car. But now I'm wondering if it would get too hot in the trunk. I don't want my retainer to melt or warp. If anyone has any experience or information on traveling with a retainer, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks, Bryan

Don't pack your retainer in your luggage and don't leave it in a hot car.
Take it in your carry-on. Keep it in your briefcase or backpack.

I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!

I always carry it in my carry on baggage. If I leave my bag in my car, I always pull my retainer out of my bag. Worst case, it will end up in my mouth if it becomes a problem in my pocket
Re: Traveling w/ Retainer
try to ask your ortho for a retainer case i always carry mine. i supposed to wear my lower 24/7 but since i work for fedex i only take them off every time i need to speak to a customer.
Re: Traveling w/ Retainer
I was going to suggest that you keep it in a retainer case in your purse until I saw that you were Bryan.
