Congratulations!
First, congratulations! Great news!
If possible, take the day off from work/school; you will be so excited afterward, you will want to just have fun!
The process will be much faster than you imagine -- your brackets will pop off in just a few minutes. Just don't be startled at the popping sound; it doesn't hurt, just sounds a bit strange. Be patient while the ortho is sanding off the remaining adhesive...this is the only unpleasant part, but goes by quickly, just hang in there.
If you haven't already done so, discuss the type of retainers you will be getting and ensure they are the type that you want / expect.
Be prepared to see HUGE straight teeth in the mirror when you get your first glimpse after debanding. It will be a wonderful yet shocking moment...enjoy it!
You will probably keep running your tongue over your new naked teeth all day long! Feels so great!
Also, be prepared that many of your colleagues may not notice that your braces are off, or may simply not say anything to you. Just feel great knowing that you have a new smile!

Congratulations!
My braces are coming off on Thursday! They've only been on for 16 months, but I'm SOOOO exited!
My first appointment is at 7:30 in the morning for debanding and impressions, then again at 3:30 in the afternoon to get my retainers (essix).
My only fear; as crazy as it sounds is the impressions! I've had them done before, and they really don't bother me much; but my teeth have been quite loose since my braces went on; especially my bottom front teeth; where most of the movement occured. Should I be worried about this??
