Extraction

Hello, I have posted before. Here is my case (again). I wore braces in my teen years and now I am in my early twenties and there is some slight crowding on the bottom and some crowding on the top. I am going to see the ortho this week but I am very scared. I am scared not because I will have to get braces again (which is certain) but that perhaps I will have to get a tooth extracted to make space. I want to know if this has happened to anyone? How bad does it have to be for the ortho to need extraction to move my teeth back in place? I am freaking out here!
