Surprise! Strugglebuggy is Naked...Woo Hooooooo!!!!!! :)

#1 Post by strugglebuggy »

I went for my appointment today to get my molars cut away and my bite block taken out and for whatever reason, he started taking them off. I actually stopped him at first to make sure he realized what he was doing. I wasn't supposed to get them off until the 26th. And I was looking forward to getting colored ligs this time... but this is even better. :)

Everything is written in my blog.... go check it out. :)

:-)o  :jump: I'm naked! :jump:  :-)o

I wanted to thank those of you who suggested the temporary retainers, too. I play clarinet and have a recital coming up and I was afraid that my teeth were going to shift before I got my retainers.... I asked the doc about it today and he ordered temporary retainers. I pick them up on Wednesday. I told him about the dream I had about my going to his office to pick up my retainers and because I had been practicing so much, my retainers didn't fit and he yelled at me...lol. His response was "Well, at least someone is dreaming about me!"

I go the day I was supposed to be debanded and get my retainers.... I will have essix for daytime and hawleys for night time. For the Hawleys, my daughter begged me to get purple, so I got a sparkled purple color with a picture of a cat curled up. They didn't charge me extra for anything. I almost went with the giraffe print, but I had already promised my daughter I'd get purple. She's 7...lol.

I don't have too many photos yet as my gums are rather irritated from several brackets being jammed against them for so long. I am going to wait until the settle down to take real photos... but there are a couple in my blog to hold you over. :) When I get my retainers, I will post photos.

Thanks Karen. :) I'm pretty stoked. :-*

I think the best part of today was flossing. It took me all of a minute to do it!

You're welcome Meryaten. :) And thank you. I am very pleased. My teeth still look huge to me. I guess that feeling will go away. I will post more pics after I get my retainers. :)

Hi Alexa! I was wondering when you'd be wandering about. :) It feels great. I go today to pick up my temporary retainers. Question though... when I get my hawleys, are they able to close spaces? I was wondering because if they do close a couple of small spaces, my essix impressions won't match anymore...lol. The tech said they'd make new ones- but I have to wear my hawleys for the first month or so, then I can switch to the essix during the day. Very excited to be talking retainers. :) My daughter picked out a sparkly purple and I was able to pick a picture too if I wanted, so we went with a picture of a cat all curled up. I'll post pics when I get them. :)

Thanks Jennie. :) They still look big to me. :)

Hi Karen. :)

I've heard through the grapevine that you like dazzling hawleys and purple...lol- so I knew you'd like what I, or should I say my daughter, picked out!

Have no fear your time will come and we will all do a huge  happy dance  in your honor!
