How close were you to the estimated length of wearing braces

Just curious how the actual amount of time that braces were worn compared to the estimated time that the orthodontist told you at the beginning...

I was 14 when I got them on, and 15 when I got them off. I'm 24 now and still wear retainers at night.

18-24 months estimated, actual 15 months
