I have a bonded retainer on my lower - it's not glued to each tooth only on the 3's. I also have a Hawley up top. I've been told to wear the Hawley 24/7. My molars don't touch at all wearing it - just one tooth in the front. Quite painful. When I take it off to eat now by bite is off. My front teeth are hitting first just like before I had braces. (this is why I got braces in the first place.)
Do you think I need to have them file down the Hawley so my molars touch or is it possible my lower bonded is not working properly and that's why my bites messing up. Are molars supposed to touch with a Hawley?
