This is what happens if you don't wear your retainer.
Do you think this is a problem that could be fixed with another retainer, or do you think braces will be necessary again?
Also, should I post this here or in another section of the forum?
Thanks guys! You all have beautiful smiles! Make sure to wear your retainer so this doesn't happen to you!

I think it depends on how long you went without wearing a retainer. One of the ortho assistants I dealt with during my treatment said she went 4 months without her retainer and then had to be in braces again for a short time. I was told at my last appointment that a person could go for a week or 2 without wearing a retainer, but then the retainer would be tight, but would adjust after a few days.
How long has it been for you?

I'm in braces the second time around. The first time around the ortho left me with a crossbite which would later cause me TMJ.
However, besides the crossbite, my wisdom teeth grew in my early 20s which pushed my first teeth all together. So here I am....a second time in braces.
I would go to a free counsulation(a few) with someone(or somebody) in your area to see what they say.
