Having my braces off on 11th, was so excited I didn't ask any questions! How long is average to wear removable retainers full time? Eventually I will have bonded retainer but not sure of time scale.

I Could be wrong but I was told full time wear for 3-6 months and then at night from 6month to life.

Thanks, that's not so bad (except the life thing of course!). I thought it may be more like a year. Bring on 11th!

I think it's usually 6 months full time, 6 months night time and then a couple of nights a week for life.

It depends on your individual case -- how long you were in braces and how much your bite has changed from the treatment.

I was in braces 3 years and had 4 extractions. I wore my retainer 24/7 for about 3 months and then only at night.

My daughter just finished her braces. She was only in them for a year for minor tooth movement. She only wears her retainer at night and was able to skip wearing it during the day. Lucky kid!

I was in my braces for about 2 years 2 mouth i just got them off about 3 weeks ago the 1st day after your braces are off you wear your retainers all day then it go to just night only with me this is the 1st time i was a teenage and 2nd time i was adult
