Okay, so I had my (stupid) braces on for like a year and a half and decided I wanted them taken off because I didn't like how it was going. Specifically, I noticed my bottom jaw had moved a lot and now I didn't like the way my face was shaped. I had no idea that was going to happen.

So I got them taken off about 3 months ago, I think, in May and I've noticed my teeth have been moving back but not as much as I want them to (I'm impatient lol).

Anyway, I know it's only been 3 months but will my teeth go back to the way they were completely before I got braces? I really just feel like the whole thing was a mistake for me (I know it was but anyway). I noticed the bottom ones are going back but like I said not as fast as I want them to and I really have not noticed the top ones moving at all which worries me a bit. I'm not really sure if I care if the top ones go back but I really want the bottom ones to because of the way my jaw looks now. Okay, my question is, even if the bottom teeth go back to the way they were, is my jaw going to go back to the way it was too? I'm really unhappy because I used to love my face shape and now I don't like it at all it makes me very unhappy. I would just like to know if there's any hope that it will go back.

but if you want the upper teeth to stay this way, you should wear a retainer
