I've been waiting awhile for someone to create this board so I finally decided just to make it myself...

After 24 months, three extractions, and one frenectomy, I will be getting my braces removed on August 24! My suggested time was 28-32 months so I consider myself very lucky I already have a permanent upper retainer and will getting upper and lower hawleys on August 25 I am so excited !!

Anyone else ?!?

I will be getting my braces off Aug. 9th at 8am. I can not wait. My total treatment will be 14 month. I was told 18 months. I have told a handful of people that my braces will be coming off. I'm scared that the Orthodontist will change her mind and will delay the removal.

My retainer will be Essix and I will wear them 8-12 hours at night.

I got my braces off today after 18 months woo!!

Loving the results, although a whole hour in the dentists chair was a bit rough going to get them off!

I've got fixed retainers on top and bottom and then I go back in a week to collect my Essix retainers which I'll wear at night.

I had linguals on top and ceramic on bottom, linguals seemed slightly easier to 'pop' off my teeth. Good luck to everyone else in the Aug debrace club!!

Mine's set for tomorrow. I've been imagining all the possible reasons my ortho could change his mind...

Looks like i'll just make it into the August club! Debanding date is the 29th at 3:30! My estimated time was 18months and its been 2.5 years! Plus the treatment I had before that. And I was a good patient, wore my elastics and all but yeah....
Whats it like wearing a permanent retainer?

I'm in! Getting debonded this Thursday. Why am I scared about this?? Insane - it's what i've been longing for for the last 14 months.

Anyway, providing I'm happy with the result (eek) I'm planning to do a full post with all my pictures.

Mine are off! It only took about an hour. They popped the brackets off, scraped the glue off, and polished the teeth. The polishing hurt a tiny bit on my sensitive teeth but it was not bad. They took pictures and xrays, then molds. I get my retainer tomorrow. My teeth are not perfect but they are so much better than before! Very pleased.
