Help! A tooth has moved while waiting for retainers!
I wonder if anyone can help? I had Six Month Smile braces removed after 4 and a half months on Thursday. I'd had a lot of overcrowding and when the braces came off my teeth looked perfect. My dentist took impressions straight away for Essix retainers which were not ready to collect until yesterday, which I am now wearing. I'm going to try and wear them 24/7 for a few months then start just wearing them every night and also when I'm at home over the weekend/evening etc as instructed.
My problem is that in the few days between getting my braces off and getting my retainers, one of my front teeth has moved slightly. The retainer still fits ok and I've had it in since yesterday, but no sign of the tooth moving back yet. Has anyone else experienced this and did the tooth eventually move back? How long did it take?
Also, how long does the drooling last? Hehe! It's pretty bad just now. I'm also lisping a lot, but I did the same when I got my braces at first and it only lasted a week or so! : )
Cheers for your help! : )

And now I've swallowed so much drool today I actually feel sick! : ( Also they look as if they have drool trapped inside them half the time which is really noticeable. : (

Agreed with the saliva getting caught up in the retainer. I find myself spitting tons a day and when I remove the retaineeto clean it or rinse my mouth the saliva and smell are gross.
