How Long Do I Have To Wait?

Im going in for my retainer fitting next week, and i just was wondering how long do i have to wait for my retainer after the fitting? I am probably going to be getting the invisible one, which resembles invisilign.

This response is probably too late because I just recently joined this group, but I only had to wait 24 hours for that retainer that resembles Invisalign. My dentist's assistant took my molds and had the temporary ready for me the next day.

It did resemble Invisalign, but it was much thinner and it got the dreaded white marks much easier. I had to wear mine for about 7 weeks-- the length of time it took for my molds to be sent in and for the Invisalign to be created.
