Brace Eze- Is it a new product and does it work?
I'm always careful on what I put in my mouth just in case I swallow it, and I'd like to know about this product called Brace Eze. If anyone has had experiences with it, I'd love to know about it!

dont think it's new but i bought some after getign annoyed with the wax being difficult to place and coming off when you eat etc.
The braceez is a clear gel that solidifies into a white stiff chewing gum like consistency. It is a lot easier to place and stays on a lot better (be careful taking it off) but i find that it doesnt solidify quick enough. So you start with a blob that nicely covers that poking wire but by the time it's hardened the blob has flattened/elongated leaving the tip of the wire still stickign out So i put up with it for a few hours then it annoys me and i revert to wax!

My ortho gave me some of this when I had my linguals fitted yesterday. I found it really hard to squeeze out of the tube but easier to apply than the brace gard strips he gave me which don't stick unless the brace is dry. You have to make sure you use enough so the wire doesnt poke out when its set.
Truthfully, you're better off using dental wax or dental silicone. Many people have said that Brace-Eze is hard to get out of the tube and hard to deal with. Great idea, but unfortuantely a poor execution, I suppose.
There is a new product being developed that is similar in many ways, but is actually much easier to use than Brace-Eze. It is still under development but isn't available yet. When it does become available, DentaKit.com will sell it (probably sometime late this year or early next year).

I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
