Can I use my elec toothbrush on 6 month smile?

Hi I am currently on day two of braces! Still feeling very tender and sore in areas. I have always used an electric toothbrush but when I asked my dentist he said it was probably better not to use it. But I really don't feel like I am cleaning my teeth properly with a manual one. I also cannot use floss as currently there is no room between my teeth and if I try and push it the pain is immense! I have also tried to use the interdental brushes and they are a waste of time!
If I got the rotating head will I be ok to use this in the actual brace?

Hi Jen,

I have an oral B toothbrush and they have heads specifically for braces. I don't know what kind of toothbrush you have but it might be worth checking out!

I use my sonicare electric toothbrush just fine. I notice the bristles are wearing out faster but does the trick well. Manuel just doesn't cut it for me I'm sure it would be ok for you too.

And I have the fast braces. Like 6 month smiles but will aline my bite as well, in about 9 months.
