Brush heads are crazy expensive I think. Mine cost me 20$ CAN... Money i'd rather be spending on something else but oh well...

Brush heads are to toothbrushes as cartridges are to ink-jet printers.
By this I mean that the brush itself is a one-time purchase (unless you break or replace it). The brusheads like ink-jet cartridges are consumables used throughout the life of the product.
This is where the company makes it's money. There's a larger profit margin on brusheads because one uses more of them.
I worked in an electronics store (Staples) many years ago where our price on a USB 1.1 cable was $19.99. Our cost........$2.99 Now that's a markup!!!

Actually calculated out, the brush heads are not that expensive
2 heads for the elite = 30 bucks
Without braces a head lasts 6 months according to the package with you should hange every three to four.
Most tooth brushes are 2-3 bucks and are suggested you replace them every two months, evey month more than likely with braces.
About the same cost and you get the power............and you can sell the ones the dentist gives you.
