Didn't need to worry about getting a custom made me afterall (at least I think...)

Went in for my ortho appointment today and the doc said, "right you're ready to have your braces taken off." At the last appointment, he said soon but I thought that meant within 6 months. Anyway have been given an Essix and a Hawley retainer so is it ok to use to Essix as a custom tray for whitening?

I was just going to ask the same as the above post. I have my clear retainer coming in about 2 weeks so I can advise yet. I guess it depends on how tight the tray is, right?. That it is not to tight as to squeeze what should be on your teeth, out.
