Hey all, I just got a 9900 and it came with the whitening brush, along with the floss action brush. But, while reading the instructions I saw that it said to not use these brushes with braces, and to use the ortho brush (which I just ordered.)

So, my question is, do you think it is alright to use the floss action brush anyways? I really don't think I can use the whitening brush considering it has some sort of cup on it that. But don't know, what do you think, has anyone used them and has it caused any complications? Or, should I just wait till the ortho brush comes?

Brush is currently charging, looks cool and can't wait to try it!

I've used the whitening brush although I didn't know at the time that you weren't supposed to use it with braces, and it was fine. I've never used an ortho head. They're way too expensive for me. I normally just use the "standard" Flexisoft heads.

I really can't see why you couldn't use the Flossaction head.

Yeah, I really doubt you cannot use the whitening head, I figure that is just Braun covering their ass (in case your bracket breaks). But the fact that you used it (regularly?) means that maybe I can use it once every week or so.

And, yeah it ended up costing me 25 bucks for 2 heads with shipping. :$

Be careful of fake brush heads Rene. I got caught out on ebay. The fake ones do work but they don't last very long.

And KN, I agree. I think it's just Braun covering themselves so nobody sues them if they break a bracket off using a non-ortho head.

Hey, I recently bought an Oral B Triumph, and it came with a flossing head.

I didn't read the manual so started using it right away... but somehow this yellow flossing thing got stuck with the braces and it was if it tried to tear the bracket lose (without success).

I don't recomment using the flossing head.

I use a sensitive head ever since at that is great, and I also bought a stock of brace care heads that might come handy in the future.
