Sonicare toothbrush stops in the middle of brushing

#1 Post by cathykay »

I purchased a Sonicare toothbrush a few weeks ago but have not been using it regularly. The first couple times I used it, I made sure it was on the lowest possible setting but I still found it uncomfortable. I ended up brushing with a regular toothbrush. After easing myself into using it, I decided that this week would be the week where I use it daily. However, while brushing today, the toothbrush stopped working out of nowhere. If I press the button to turn it on after that happens, it starts over for another couple seconds before doing the same thing. I'm not sure why this is happening. How do I fix it?

Sounds to me like it need to be recharded. Is it fully charged? When it is on, is there a blinking green light?

Mine always did that, and I hated it for that reason and others. In retrospect, it may have been defective, but I tossed it out in any case. I have an oral-b pulsonic which I am much happier with, it is a way better product.

This is what mine does when it needs recharged. If you have just charged it and it's still doing this then I'd suggest contacting the company to see if maybe they'll replace it.

Hi cathykay!

I've been using sonicare toothbrushes for almost 4 years now and I'm on my 3 one (I upgraded). My first one did exactly what yours was doing so I sent it back to the manufacturers and had it replaced. Turns out my battery cell was bad and wouldn't hold a charge :( Do you still have the warrenty info? If not I would still call customer service, they were really nice to me and helpful. Hope this helps!
