Love your electric toothbrush? Hate that yucky mouthwash? Can't live without that terrific threader floss? Got a fave canker sore remedy? Here's where you can post your opinions and reviews of specific products relating to dental hygiene and your braces. Tell others what works....and what doesn't!
I was checking around the Dentakit site (that will probably be a future purchase) but also since I'll be having an upper expander, I might check out one of these L'il Palates Cleaning Tools too. Anyone have any experience using this? Any feedback would be appreciated!

I just looked at that. It looks really interesting. I had an expander in until just yesterday. (Yay!) I have always used the Waterpik to clean mine. But the benefit of the L'il Palates is that it's a lot more portable. Might have been nice to have.
Congrats on getting it out! My kind of expander isn't a palate expander thankfully and I just brush the roof of my mouth with my electric toothbrush, but I'm sure this would be helpful to others.
I just couldn't get it under the nance at all. I can only get under from the back which is difficult to do. Someone with perhaps room in the front or sides of an appliance may be able to use it though. It's certainly worth a try if you can get it to work. I think it really depends on how your appliance fits in your mouth.
I purchased one of these also. I will be getting a palate expander installed on Feb 28th. Mine is an RPE (x) type expander that has to be keyed for each turn. I will post after I have had a chance to try this out and let y'all know how it works for me.
My son had a pendulum appliance that he recently got taken out, and he saw it and said "man I wish I would've had this when I had my appliance in" He seemed to think it would've worked really well.
