Pic's update: 5-th day of natafele in braces

Here are my photos!

This is me without braces:

As you see my bottom is not straight, and all teeth on the top are shifted to the left.

Here is a photo on the day 1, after placing the braces:

I feel my teeth moving, especially at night, when I'm not distracted by anything else. Not strong but annoying pain, like constantly pushing my teeth towards the wire. But they move! From the first day I see a slight movement. If before placing the braces I could hardly floss between my front teeth, now the floss gets easy between them... It's too fast to ecpect some cardinal changes, but I feel that something is going on in my mouth and I am happy I've done this.

My first days of showing up with braces...I feel a bit shy, anf if I though that clear braces would not be visible, they still are... And people when talking to me look at my mouth  When I went shopping yesterday, a seller asked me: What do you want, girl? While a week before, he talked to me like to a lady. Being young in this sense is fine, but I also feel like a teenager with this thing in my mouth.

2 weeks from the moment Natafele got her braces

#3 Post by natafele »

I'm only starting 2-year journey, but I'm already counting the days and weeks I'm having my braces on. In these 2 weeks, I noticed some spacing between my front teeth. Perhaps I should be happy, but this makes me worry. I have a gap from the tooth extraction on my right side, so all front teeth must be moved somehow to close this gap. So, now I see that my front teeth have splitted, I worry! What if they will move not all together, but one by one? Will I get this hole or lots of space where I didn't have it... It would make the problem so visible. I don't know how actually braces work, perhaps the wire pushes the teeth and tries to put them on one line, but it does not actually move the teeth aside. Does it?

My lower wire is much straigther than it was 2 weeks ago, but there are not many visible changes. The only thing I feel, is that there is really something going on there! I feel my teeth as one solid piece. I still can't eat well. Although I have no pain, my teeth don't touch so I can't smash my food. I'm swallowing it the way it is  . And because of this my stomach hurts...

But positive news are that I'm less shy with braces on, this is now part of me...

You'll be fine in no time. You will find yourself smiling more and not really caring that others can see your braces. Good luck with your journey.
