No, you're not looking at a miraculous 5-week treatment course :D ... it's just me using photoshop :P its a very long drawn-out process so unless you're familiar with photoshop or adobe photo elements its difficult/impossible to explain how it's done

the "before" pic is from March 10th
the "after" pic is what my teeth will (hopefully) look like around August 2008

bracedagain: Pretty Cool anyway Victor!!
Sure would be neat to do in 5 weeks tho!! Bet it would hurt too!
It would hurt, braced, I guess that would be an "extreme makeover" hahaha but remember: Pain is temporary... beautiful teeth are forever!! (Well, sort of.)
rage31: That's pretty cool Victor. With those springs doing their work. I am sure you will be there in no time.
Thanks, rage, I'm glad you like my mock-up. I'm hoping this will all be worth it in the end. And somehow, by looking at what my teeth might look like, I think it will be worth it.
linda21: Wow, impressive photo collage victor36 especially the "before" and "after" shots
Here's to those laterals making their way into the world very soon!
Thanks, linda, for your kind compliments and encouragement!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get my laterals hooked up to that darn archwire!

Hi Victor36! I liked your "before and after" pics. I bet this helps a little with the pain, to have a visual and see why we put ourselves through this. I am on day two and my teeth are killing me. :(

Hi Patricia! I've had mine since February 6 and oh I remember those first few days.. Advil and lots of warm water rinses seemed to help me... hope they help you too, because the fun has just begun!!!

Hi, I'm looking into getting braces... I actually have my first consultation next week... and my teeth look almost exactly like yours on top. If you don't mind me asking, what did your ortho say about extractions?

Hi, lizzoo!

I don't mind the questions, it's just that you're asking me to remember what the ortho said back in August :D:? I believe his exact words were, "We're gonna try to do this without extractions." And I hope that truly is the case. If your uppers look like mine then you can probably also expect the springs, which are designed to push my uppers forward & outward for a broader smile (if that makes sense). You should go for it; it's one of the best gifts that you can give yourself.

Thanks for the info, Victor. The reason I'm asking is I really don't want to have any extractions if it is possible... I've kind of noticed that when some people have extractions, their smile tends to look smaller I guess. For some it completely changes the way they look. Oh and your explanation for the springs make sense and it sounds good (probably doesn't feel too good though, right?) Hopefully the orthos I consult with will go with a similar treatment plan as yours. Thanks again and I hope you and your teeth are doing well! I'll definitely be keeping track of your progress!
