I can see so many teeth when I smile its amazing.
Isn't that great??? I remember visiting my brother and sister-in-law around my 3-month mark, and my sister-in-law specifically mentioned that she can see so many more teeth just when I'm talking! It was a great feeling, and I'm sure you know just what I'm talking about!

Can't wait to see the new pics!

Your teeth look beautiful! I'm so happy you feel like time has flown by - and I remember feeling the same way you did at the beginning, just longing for the 6-month mark.... and now you are at eight! Wonderful!

Enjoy your upcoming trips and try not to think about us at Archwired - have fun!

You came to DC and didn't call me??? :Questions: I live 25 miles from the heart of the city! In all the traffic it would have taken me an hour to get there, but still! How inconsiderate!

Just kidding! I really do live 25 miles from the city, and it really does take me at least an hour to get there, but it sounds like you had a quick tour and were on your way! I love the City this time of year; especially when the weather is nice. What did you go see? Sounds like your trip to Disney was also fun! I'm glad to hear you are smiling with an open mouth, non-pushed jaw and with confidence! The pic you posted, btw, is great! That baseball game sounds like it was intense - and it sounds like your boys (and you!) had a really great time!

Oh wait, the teeth thing... Good luck on your appointment and don't worry about those elastics, they never seem to go away. I'm STILL in one (one side only, nights only). It never ends! Looking forward to your next update....

Ugh, the beltway! If you were here on a weekend you really got to experience the wrath of our traffic, and if it was during the week you learned our rush hour starts at 3:30 and stops around, oh, 7:30. Except on Fridays, when it starts at 1:00 and runs until around 8:00. Golly I love it here! Actually I really do love it here! Mount Vernon is beautiful, I haven't been since I was a kid. I look forward to seeing your blog to see where you went so I can give you a list of places to see NEXT time you visit!

 Gosh Denise- It sounds like you had a fantastic vacation! And a bunch of good news with everything else. Sounds like the ballgame was a barn burner for sure.
And you have a great natural smile in your picture too. Wish I could do that.
Good luck tomorrow.

Hooray, elastics!

They can be a gigantic pain, but you will be happy to have them once you see the differences they make. At least you don't have the dreaded elastic triangles.... THOSE make it look like you have spittle in your mouth all the time. :x

Glad to hear your ortho is pleased with your progress, and congrats to Joshua for almost being done!

Oh, and nice pics - your progress looks really great! :)

Hi Denise

Sounds like you've had a busy and exciting summer so far! Your progress is amazing and your smile looks awesome. It's great to see a whole smile with a real live face attached as opposed to just a bunch of teeth. Good to hear your elastics are going well. As for eating with them on, I swallowed quite a few over time but I'm still here so no worries.

That's great that your son is almost done. Hopefully, you won't be too far behind!
