UPDATE:

Well, I went to the orthodontist today, and I got the wedge off my cuspid. The tooth rotated and now needs to line up with the rest. I promised I would post pics with my new digital camera but I've been having too much fun with it taking pictures of other things.

Anyway, I got both my lower cuspids wire tied today, July 30th is holding, but I was told not to be disappointed if I don't get debanded that day. If the cuspid cooperates and the tooth moves I'll be debanded. If it still needs to move a squosh more and all it needs is a shove by the retainer, I'll get debanded.

All I can do at this point is keep my fingers crossed and hope my tooth cooperates. I want it to look right, and it looks like this is the one last thing that needs to happen.

Believe it or not, that tooth has already started to move and looks like it is lined up! It certainly feels different in my mouth and looks different when I look at it in the mirror.

Dare I hope?

No, really, everything is lining up nicely and I am more optimistic than I have been in months!!

I am soooo short!

But, as always, something jumps in to slow things down a bit. Until last week I was looking forward to a Monday, July 30th debanding. Well, it's been delayed by two days until Wednesday, August 1st. My ortho had a death in the family, so they had to reshuffle about a 150 appointments

Two days ... not much in the grand scheme of things.

I'm going into work an hour early tomorrow so that at 10:30 I can head out to the ortho for my 11am appointment.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight! I am SO looking forward to getting these babies off.

I'll do my best to post something after my appointment!
