Things look great, Sarah! You're right, ol' twisty has gotten himself into his "proper" home!

I'm sorry to hear that your health problems are causing you to stop your treatment, but thank goodness you are so close to the end. It would really be a shame if you had to stop treatment and came out with severly compromised results. Oh, and I know what you mean about wanting to go to the hygenist.... I can't wait for my appointment too! :)

Good luck with your few additional adjustments, and I can't wait to see the final naked pics!!!

Hi Sarah

Sorry to hear you're still not well, and that you're stopping treatment a little early as a result, but your teeth are looking fine as they are now. Old Twisty has certainly been taught a lesson and is now behaving. You'll have a smile to be proud of. I know what you mean about that chlorhexidine rinse :? I used it once for a week and my teeth went brown, it was horrible!

Take good care of yourself, and let us know when you finally get debanded.

Well i'm hoping to get a bit more movement in the lowers over the next two months before they come off so fingers crossed. Plus some of my teeth have worn down wonky so they need to be contoured which I think will make the end result so much better!

OK... One day until my adjustment.. Well under that actually! Adjustment 13 and counting!!

I thought I would do another comparison... I think its so amazing the transformation..

Just some final tweaking that needs to be done and some contouring of the teeth that have worn down uneven due to the really bad crowding...

Fingers crossed I am now really on the home straight!!

OK... Had my adjustment!

Uppers are being debraced on October 11th... Ortho wanted to close the little V in the my front uppers but I said I like the gap and want to keep it!! He said that was fine and he understood! Told him that I have always had that gap and don't want to lose it!!

Got a full link of powerchains on the top to close up any other little gaps...

Lowers are remaining for the time being.. There is a possibility of mini screws to try and close up the gaps on the bottom from the extractions I had but we will decide in October when I have my debonding done!

He also showed me the retainer for the uppers. Its a clear one that fits over the teeth, looks a bit like the invisalign...

Hi Sarah - how is it that I haven't looked at your journal in so long (the truth is I haven't been here much lately). I haven't read every page but I looked at your photos on every page. Your progress and results so far are truly amazing and inspirational. I am so happy for you. You have such nice teeth, and your smile is getting prettier by the day. Bravo!

I can't wait to read about your upcoming D-day and see your teeth without braces!
Uppers placed 2/8/06--Inspire ICE ceramics
Lower (stainless) placed 2/23/06
Treatment time: 17 months (estimated was 12-18 months)
Debonded: July 11th, 2007
Next appointment: June 2008 for retainer & nightguard check

Hi Granola

I haven't been on as much as I would have liked either..

I'm in quite alot of pain this morning with my uppers but the powerchains have already worked their magic in closing any little gaps that I did have!!

I'm very happy with the way my braces have turned out and hopefully my son is equally happy.. He says he is looking forward to starting his brace journey although something tells me he might not be quite so resilient as me..

LOL

OK here goes... YIPPEE!!!

I'm half naked - LOL

Its a strange feeling and I did ask the Ortho if he could put the brackets back on as my teeth felt strange, but an hour later and i'm slowly coming to terms with it!!

Debanding was pretty much painless and straightforward... He did a quick adjustment on my lowers which are now coming along pretty well!

I'm going to have the stains removed from the uppers in a couple of weeks time!

Going to have my retainer fitted tomorrow lunchtime!!
