Thanks for visiting my blog. Your little blue glitter mirror story is freaking hilarious. You're right, I have never seen a manly mirror in my life. But if I come across a skull and crossbones pocket mirror, I will let you know right away. :D

Great pics!

Yeah, I felt weird, too, when posting just pics of my teeth. And bad teeth at that! But we're all in the same boat so we won't think of you as a wild troll!

Congratulations on your unexpected progress! I'm sure it won't take long for your teeth to start moving back into your extraction gaps, and then your 'wayward' teeth will finally get to where they're supposed to be!

I know exactly what you mean about your pictures looking wierd without the rest of your face round them! My smile looks sooooo much worse in my pictures then when you see it with the rest of my face in the photo.

It also sounds like you have a fantastic ortho. Mine seems lovely so far, so I hope he is as understanding as your sounds. I read a horrible story on here the other day, it sounded like the ortho and all his assistants needed to be a bit more empathetic.

Looking forward to the next pics of your new gnashers.

What's up Wild Troll! :jokerlaugh: LOL. I'm soooo kidding. I just thought that was hilarious to read. :D

Your teeth look great! That's so cool you got those coils off!!!! :jump: Just wait and see how much they move now... over the next couple months... it's unreal how fast your teeth line up once you get that archwire on there! I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Thank you for stopping by my story by the way!

So happy to hear about your progress!!! Hang in there. You'll be hurtin a little after an adjustment like that! *hugs* :-#)

Hey Hey all, Wild Troll signing in for an update! Hehehe! :P

Miss Smiley, jenny101101, *melissa*, melliemoo, young67 (any luck finding me that skull and crossbones mirror, aaaarrrgg - okay, that was my poor attempt at making a pirate noise...*sigh* Capt'n Jack Sparrow I'm not), braced again, Braced32, sksk11 and Kara - thanks so, so much for your encouragement and kind words!!!

Some of the most impressive movement has been going on with my lower teeth - I don't even know how it happened...one minute the tooth was far back, next minute - it's climbed and wedged its way into the tiny gap that was waiting to be filled. That little tooth has been working overtime I reckon!! I'm very proud of it! :D

Image

My central incisors are now sitting next to one another (for the first time in as long as I can remember!!!!!) and while there is still a long way to go, I'm still amazed at how fast my left central incisor is moving back into place. You can tell by the way the archwire has changed too. Originally, it was really protruding out alot but now its def. making its way back into place! I'm shocked! Aaaarrrghhh!

Image

I must admit, my teeth seem to go through regular periods of tenderness and pain, but it comes and goes days at a time and changes teeth all the time. I'm used to it and whilst it is uncomfortable sometimes I'm fine with it, especially when I'm seeing results like! I've even had some people at work comment on how they've noticed changes too - which, to be honest, makes me feel great!

I had some teeth feel loose for a while too and I couldn't seem to stop my tongue from touching them all the time, back and forth, lol. The 'loose' teeth feel totally stable again now. Yay!

I'm amazed that all of this has happened in under 3 months...it blows my mind when I think about it!!! I can't wait to see how my teeth look in September when I go overseas on holidays! YAY!

Oh, and something else I noticed...I can say the letter 'F' again without sounding like I'm trying to wolf whistle!

Take care,
Daney (aka, Wild Troll)

Thanks danish and Miss Smiley.

My time is meant to be 24 months braced but my ortho said it might only be 18 months, depending on how things go... that was back in February when we last discussed that. I would be happy with either time to be honest, I'm just keen on having them off before my 28th birthday (which will be 25 months since my brace day)...then again, it would be a pretty great Xmas present to get my braces off in December 2009...hmmmm, now ya got me thinking! Hehehe!

Hi Dane

I have just read your story and wow  those teeth have moved fast. You really have made some amazing progress. I have had my braces on slightly longer than you have and i havent seen as much progress as you have. I have my next adjustment tomorrow so hopefully things will get moving.

I hope it keeps going as well as it has been so far.

Wow, you're very lucky with all that movement so quickly.

I just got a coil at my last visit so am mooching on the board for others who have had the same thing...it's great to see that the coils really do the job.
