Hi Rhonda,

Your teeth are looking lovely, and i really like the festive piccy of you and your daughter in law.

Well May isnt that far away so i bet you are excited.

I hope that bothersome elastic gets easier to cope with.

All the best

Your teeth look really nice. I had to wear elastics off an on through out my treatment, but mostly just at night. It did cause the teeth they were attached too, to get tender, but nothing too bad. The more I wore them though, the less discomfort I experienced.

Good luck in your last few months.

thanks to those of you who responded with the kind words of encouragement. I must report that my front teeth and the elastic have made peace and I no longer watch the second hand of the clock waiting till May. Does the clock move slower when it knows your debracing date is approaching?

thanks again and hopefully after one more adjustment I will post the "after" photos.

Rhonda,

I have enjoyed your story. And spacers were terrible for me also.

I've really enjoyed reading your story - all your visits for adjustments etc., It must be good to think that your braces will so soon be in the past.
I'm hoping this reply works as when I tried to reply to the message you sent me I ended up replying to myself - wonder what I was doing wrong?
Anyway, thank you for your views on damon braces (whether quicker than other braces) - they helped me to decide what to go for. :) All best with the last few weeks.

Hi Rhonda,

What a great journal :D . I enjoyed reading it. I have Damon's too...how do you find them? How far apart are your adjustments?

Congrats on getting your debrace date...can't wait to see pics of your naked teeth!! :-*
Keep smilin'! :)

Well I finally see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. At my last appt I had my impressions for my retainers. I really thought this would be a kick back appt and would just enjoy the last three weeks of my ortho journey. My ortho never ceases to amaze me. He clipped my back archwires and now has me wearing a zigzag elastic configuration involving four elastics- are u kidding me! These are very tight and takes me about a half hour to re-do after I eat. He told me that he really likes to make the bite closed and tight just before the braces come off. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

Come May 21st I will finally shed this metal smile for the aunatural look. I don't think I will ever want to look at another rubber band.
