I went in for the implant crowns today and they turned out great. They are a perfect color match and are translucent just like my real teeth. They look like I grew them myself. I finally have a smile that I can be proud of.

Ok, so i know you posted this story awhile ago but i just came across it. I recently had implant surgery done (2 weeks ago) on my left lateral incisor. I actually had to have a bone expansion done at the same time due to the lack of bone and they placed the implant so now it's just healing. It sounded from your post that you had your braces on the whole time (from surgery to healing), did having the braces on interfere at all w/ the healing? i have had my braces on about 9mths now. i had to wait for the space to be correct to place the implant. now that they did it will probably be several more months of wearing them and then hopefully i will get them off and get my permanent crown and FINALLY be finished. I am just concerened that the pressure of the wires and braces might mess something up w/ the healing, even though my ortho assures me not. I do trust he knows but i have spent so much on my teeth w/ braces and this surgery I want it all to work out. Any info or reassurance would be greatly appreciated
