MY TEETH! ***Pics*** Debanding- November 25th!!!!

Wow dagwoman, bummer about the unprofessional attitude of your ortho! Let's just hope she was having a bad day, and is normally not so cynical. I don't get why she couldn't see the offset in your midline, either. Even I can see it (although it's not too bad, I don't want you to think it's an attention grabber because it's not.) But you'd like to think your ortho would have an eye for these details.
But hey, your teeth are looking really great!

Thanks catfish!
Also, I take back my comment about not noticing a difference in my teeth between this adjustment and the last one- now that I look, my upper arch overlaps the bottom one more than it did last time, which is what we were aiming for with my last elastic configuration. So that's a plus!

Another adjustment!
Lots of little tweaks this time. Firstly, my ortho had a look at my midline, and said I could stop wearing the elastic so long as it didn't shift back. She said that if it started to shift back again, to go back to wearing them.
On my top arch, she did a number of detailed little bends, and told me this was to make some adjustments to the levels of my front six. I got a wire tie on my left lateral, but I'm not sure why. Unfortunately, I still have the old, now chipped archwire from last time. It's only been 11 hours since my adjustment, and my two front teeth are visibly more even, so I didn't even have to worry about asking her about shaping those two teeth, which I'm happy about. In the photo, my tooth hadn't visibly moved yet, so it's not noticeable.
On my bottoms, I got the powerchains off and a lovely blue colour! I pointed out my slightly rotated right lateral, and she put some weird thing on it to rotate it- I think I heard the word wedge? Wire ties on that tooth and the canine next to it, and a few detailed bends on that one too. Same wire again.
But now for the exciting part! I worked up the courage to ask her how she thought I was going, time wise. She told me that if at my next adjustment (in 6 weeks) I was happy with how my teeth were, I could probably get my braces off at the following appointment. That means, if things go to plan, I'll be brace free in 12 weeks!
A bit of a downer is that within a few hours I noticed my midline was shifting back, I'm assuming from the way my teeth were moving around. I'm hoping diligent elastic-wearing will fix this up quickly.
Here are some pictures! Excuse the staining on the glue.

My teeth in all their glory.

Some of the weird, detailed bends.

The bends that quickly fixed up my front teeth! And the not-so-attractive chipped archwire.

The weird wedge thingy.
Thanks for reading!

Guess who booked a debanding appointment for November 25th!
Yesterday was hopefully my last adjustment. My ortho told me that my teeth are looking really good, and that they should be ready to come off next time. She told me to keep wearing the elastic for my midline as much as I can, since it seems to have the tendency to keep moving back, and warned me that it's possible that it'll shift a little after I get my braces off. So long as my bite's okay, I really don't mind.
She also put some more "de-rotation wedges" on my bottom teeth, to rotate them a little. I asked my girlfriend what colour I should get on the bottom, since it'll (fingers crossed) be the last time, so I got purple again. My ortho didn't give me a new wire up top, I'm assuming since it already has all the detailed bends it needs, but ALL the white coating has come off now. At this point, I could really care less, since hopefully they'll be off in 6 weeks! She also put some wire ties on certain teeth.
She asked me if there was anything else I was unhappy with or concerned about, and I showed her a few little things I wanted to know about. All is in order though, and she told me she can do some shaving/contouring of my bottom teeth when I get them off if I need it. My two front teeth have totally evened up, even though the photo doesn't really show it very well.
I was told that I'll come in a week later to pick up my retainers, and I was told by the receptionist to book that appointment too, which I did. I forgot to ask about what kind of retainer it would be etc., but I'm sure I'll find out next time.
Anyway, here's a photo

I canNOT believe I'm about to get them off. I feel like I just got them on! I had a bracket pop off a week ago, and went in to get it put back on, which was sort of good because it was exactly at the halfway point between my last appointment and my debanding date, so it was sort of a way to get my progress double checked.
I've been looking at my teeth heaps. I can't wait to feel them and look at them when the braces come off!
