Aha, don't be jealous guys! The excitement is pretty much over for me, but it's coming up for you braced folks
It just takes time, which flies by fast when you look back at it. Anyways, as an update, I started whitening my teeth and I'm getting some results. I've done 7 out of 14 days of using crest white strips advanced seal. Here's after 6 days:
They look a bit whiter than in my previous pictures! I drink dark soda, so I'm using rembrandt whitening toothpaste to keep it up. It tastes kinda funny so I only use it once a day. My mom swears by it so it's worth a try. I have way too many toothbrushes and toothpastes to choose from, and I'm not sure how that happened. I found a use for one of the toothbrushes, which is to clean my retainer. It's nice and soft so it won't scratch the plastic
As far as my retainer goes, I figured out that I can use some wax to put on the sharp edges of my retainer. It helps, but I go through so much wax now. I have to replace it every time I clean my retainers, which I'm pretty meticulous about usually. I can't wait to get my hawleys still. I only have about a week until then. Hopefully I don't have to make too many trips to the store/ortho for more wax.
