Today is day 3 of braces for me. I am 33 years old and still had baby teeth. The Ortho pulled my teeth which happen to be in the front next to my two front Buck teeth .
I have spacers in and Metal on top and bottom. I am just hoping that these 2 holes in the front of my mouth close pretty quick.
Does anyone know... how soon I can get the power chains. My next appt is in a week and a half. I will definitely ask more questions. I love this site. Very informative.
Hi Ashanti! Congrats on taking the plunge! I also had baby teeth that I had to have pulled, they were the ones right next to yours (canines).
No one can say for sure when you will get powerchains so you will have to ask your orthodontist. My case was a lot different than yours but I got my powerchains around the 4-5 month mark.
Having those gaps was not fun at all, if you check out my story you can see I had the same lovely holes as you . They closed really fast though, and I found most people didn't really notice.
Hello Ashanti welcome to life with braces I had one tooth pulled, the #12. My ortho started a powerchain on my 1st adjustment, which was a month after treatment started. I've only had the powerchain a little over a week so I'm not sure how fast it works yet Good luck with everything!
I will say that when I got the powerchain wow did the tooth connected hurt!!! But it went away in a couple days
WELCOME i'm in the same boat as you, I have gaps between my front teeth and I can't wait for them to close up. My first adjustment is next month so hopefully I will get my power chains to start closing everything up, It will help me feel better about my new jewelry (LOL) anyways congrats on your journey can't wait to see your amazing progress
