Hey Emms,
I think princesspeach is right. My teeth look yellowish also and I only have the half clear damon3's. I brush 3-5 times a day also. I feel like I'm taking better care of my teeth NOW than I did before I had the braces! :)

Keep brushing!

I use baking soda to brush and peroxide to rinse to keep my teeth clean. I can't say to much in regards to clear braces, but at my last appointment the tech got all artistic with her devices and turned my bottom row right above my gumline yellow. The peroxide and baking soda knock the discoloration right off! Works like a charm!

I also had to announce. I got my pictures up...finally! I had to keep my promise and let you know when they were!!! :) Good luck and best of brushing!

Thanks for dropping in girls, and thanks for the tip on baking soda. So should I stock up on Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and Peroxide toothpaste? Will that do the trick?

I'm going to pop over to your story now HeyBuckey, cannot wait to see the pics.

Arm & Hammer

That should definitely do the trick! I know peroxide is not the best tasting mouthwash :), but the toothpaste works wonders as well! Another plus is after I brush with baking soda my teeth feel really smooth like they've been buffed or something :P. I like the peroxide because of its healing properties. Those mean old ulcers from bracket rubbing don't stand a chance against peroxide! :D

Right, I got my Arm & Hammer baking soda and peroxide toothpaste, have scrubbed them a lot and now I have figured out that it's the bloomin glue that's staining, not my teeth!!!! I studied them very closely this past weekend and yes the glue is staining, what can I do about that, does anyone know? I've taken to brushing the glue stains with my proxy brush armed with a dollop of baking soda and peroxide toothpaste. Maybe I should give it a few days before I complain!!!

That's a real drag, shouldn't the ortho have scrubbed off the excess glue? Maybe they can grind it off at your next apptmt...

Image - BEFORE Image - DAY 1 Image - 4 WEEKS

Well this is my progress so far, thanks for dropping in and checking on me :D I am so happy with my canine on the right, it has rotated quite a bit and is starting to look a little bit normal in my mouth. Also the tooth hiding behind my front one has really come out, it still has a bit to go but I reckon the pressure isn't strong enough to budge that canine next to it, unless that moves my teeth ain't going anywhere!!! Hopefully the thicker wire I am due to get on Dec 1st might do the trick.

I am loving my baking soda & peroxide toothpaste (thanks Heybuckey), I feel my teeth color has improved a lot since I started using this toothpaste. Got my hubby using it now too

PS: My teeth in the second picture are not really that yellow, it was the light I reckon!!!

Wow, Emms, what a progress!! Just look at those teeth, you're doing great!!! Your canine has really rotated a lot and the alignment is soooo much better - way to go :D You must be thrilled with the resaults. And your first adjustment is less than a month away - I'm sure you'll get thicker wires.

Your clear braces are nice, almost invisible. And your teeth are so white and have a really nice shape. When your braces come off, you will have a true Hollywood smile 8) Keeping my fingers crossed for more great progress and your next adjustment.

Hi everyone,

Went to my first adjustment appointment this morning and I got no new wires?? He said that the wires that are on are doing a great job and he wants to leave them on for another 8 weeks and then change definitely bottom and maybe top wire.
I was kind of disappointed because I thought my wires would be changed. Does anyone know does this mean that there won't be as much movement as the pressure is still the same?
I'm kinda bummed :( but I'm just gonna have to trust my ortho and what he is doing.
