Here's the after picture! This was taken today, 4 days after debanding:
Which is such a drastic change from this:
I'm very happy with the improvement, though there are a few minor things that my ortho wants to fix using the retainers. I have to wait 3-4 weeks for the retainers to come in and I'm seeing things shift already, but my ortho says the retainers will fix anything that moves.
I love feeling my teeth and being able to floss so easily now! It's also great to be able to eat without having food bits stuck all around the brackets!
Wow. I dont know how i came across your post but Im AMAZED at how ur story is SO similar to mine lol
Im 24 yrs old..and got braces for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago.
Mine are also clear and look just like urs. I wore braces when i was 10 for 2 yrs...and wasnt consistent wit wearing my retainer.
BAD IDEA...but hey i was young and didnt know the seriousness of the consequences. I also didnt have all my adult teeth in then, which was also a problem
Now Im wearing them again because i have an overbite and my teeth shifted alot. I will be having teeth extracted as well in 2 days..Im nervous, but anxious to c change.
Anyways, just wanted to congratulate u on your awesome straight teeth. I hope to have my nice pearly white set in 2012.
your teeth turned out so beautiful....i am so excited to see someone successfully go through what I am in the process of right now..I don't want to post my whole story on here but..I am 31 and have been wearing my braces with regular adjustments for about a year and 3 months..my teeth are pretty straight now, but then the overjet came to light...so i had the same procedure done ...the premolars extracted to make room for the front teeth to move back...my dentist is a sweetheart and she knew I wasn't going to be pleased with wearing braces to only end up with a decent smile....i want it to look as good as possible AND i want to be able to bite my nails if I want...i dont bite them but I want the option..lol...anyways..my husband was a little hesitant when I told him they were going to have to remove teeth to fix the problem.. but I had researched it and knew it would help but this is the first time I am seeing an actual picture for proof that it indeed will help fix the problem...thanks for sharing...my dentist says I will need to wear my braces for about another year to close the gaps...thats not too bad...did it take this long for you? to close those spaces? other than that my teeth look really good...i hope to post some before treatment and progress pics once I get the green light on my username...
