Kevmacc's Braces Story w/photos

#1 Post by kevmacc »

I've been a member of this particular message board for a while now, but up until now i havent had the proper photos to start a brace story, but I do now so here it goes..

For the vast majority of my life ive had bad teeth, im talking since i was in kindergarden up until i graduated high school, but the kind of person i am, ive always tried to look past the bad teeth issue, seeing on how neither me or my family had the means to pay for my braces i just got used to life with bad teeth. Your probably exspecting me to tell you how i never smiled and would always cover my teeth when i did, well thats not the case, I smiled and i smiled alot, and I would never try to hide my bad teeth (this wasnt always a good thing). I guess i got the idea in my head that no ones perfect, i mean i wasnt fat, i was healthy and i was good looking. I played sports and dated plenty of pretty girls and had tons of friends, ive had girls tell me "you have the cuttest smile, just the most messed up teeth", of course i just laughed it off, but there came a point in college where i just wanted straight teeth and i was financially able at that point so i scheduled a visit and 2 months later i had braces, ceramic at the top and traditional metal ones at the bottom. I have to say now that im 10 months into treatmeant i wish i would have gotten this done along time ago, even with the braces on i get so many compliments on my straight teeth and nice smile, and ive noticed that people both women and men (not in a homophobic way) are more attracted to me. Before i wrap this up let me just say if you have bad teeth and are always covering them up or not smiling it makes you look unconfident and women love confidence so try to break the bad habit also if your thinking of getting braces i suggest that your make your decision quickly because everyday is another step forward to a great smile!!! Thanks for reading folks. now Photos!!!

Id love to have a story about how fast my teeth were moving, but progress was a slow process for me but so far im loving the results

Thanks For all the comments! and to tell you the truth i have no idea when my braces are coming off, my ortho always tells me something different when i see her, first its in 10 more months next 8, then 9 and then back to 10 so i really have no idea. I thought that when they give you the elastics to wear it was because you were near the end of your treatment its that true....?

wow... you have inspired me! the difference in ur pics is incredible and i really like the kind of brackets you have.

i dont have braces yet and have been agonising over the decision for a couple of years mainly due to financial reasons but also appearance nerves but seeing how great your teeth look has really spurred me on. Your braces look great! Thank you for posting on here- you've helped me realise the sacrifices i'll need to make will be worth it :)
