Getting there...

#1 Post by wilson123 »

Ok well today marks the 8 months and two weeks stage since I was braced and I am absolutely delighted with the progress :)

There are still two more adjustments at least before I get a retainer but I never thought it would be this quick and make this sort of change without any really mishaps. I have broken brackets a lot of times (I have one now that I am waiting to call my dentist on Monday at 9am with) but other than the original first week they aren't too bad. Def would recommend braces to everyone! Don't do what I did and put them off, just get them done!!!! [/img]

:) thanks.

It has been amazing just how quick the change has come - especially when I consider it took me 25 years to get round to what has been just 9 months. I'm really looking forward to a smile minus braces :)

Thanks everyone :)

I am amazed at the speed to be honest and so is my dentist. I have another visit to get a square wire on the top and bottom (apparently a thicker wire) to square them off and sort out the lean and then it is done :)

Thanks all :) I'm hoping when I go June 3rd again that my denist keeps his word and does change the final closing wire (much like many have said on here, he has been saying 'last wire in next time fo a few months now). Still, can't complain they seem to have shifted v v fast :)

I have my visit to the dentist tomorrow for what will be 2 weeks short of being 10 months on (wow how fast does time fly - I just noticed I started this thread over 6 weeks ago!)

Hopefully I will be reporting the good news that my final wire goes in, but I won't pin my hopes just yet! They haven't really moved since the pic below so I guess they are about sorted and I am happy with the outcome - just have to wait and see what the dentist says :)
