I am so sorry for all of your unfortunate news. It has to get better I just know it. The good thing about going to dental school like River mentioned is that maybe you could get a discount now. I admire that your going in to dental I would too if I hadn't already changed my major 2 times lol.

I noticed your gum, and just use mouthwash or salt warm water rinses. I've never had that before but as long as it is not painful. Your teeth have moved at lightning speed.

I hope things change. I understand that your in a time in your life where you feel like nothing is going right trust me I've been there before but some how things take a turn. don't loose hope. And River is right you are beautiful and you could look at my yucky before pics and think at least mine don't look like cosmos lol.

Hey girl,

Haven't been on in a while and I just wanted to drop in and say sorry to hear about your teeth saga.... ...I hope all goes/gets better for you. Keep your head up.....a month from today you could be in a totally different situation, with all kinds of options. You never know. Don't rush to get em off...take your time (a month or so, not years) make a wise well thought out decision...karma has a funny way of coming back and biting ya, or kissing ya...whichever you deserve. I have a feeling you deserve the latter so stay positive!!!

money isn't horrible! it's the not having it that's horrible! I posted something on your facebook, Skeet. About OSU's dental OPTIONS plan. It might be something to discuss with your OSU ortho at your consultation, if they haven't talked to you about it already.

Long time, no post! Okay so I was supposed to go to an appointment on june 1st for a consultation at OSU. I canceled that appointment, because I just dont have the money for retainers right now. But, Im not giving up on my orthodontic journey. I will get braces when Im more financially stable. As for the insurance aspect of everything, Im appealing the drop from my insurance. Hopefully Ill be able to get the insurance in my name. Its going to take forever though. Im also in the process of transferring schools. So many things just building up, which means even the most important things are going on the back burner. :/

As for my teeth, not much difference. The gap is closing and is pretty much closed, buuuut the left front tooth, and left lateral incisor, they havent come out of the gum enough, so my teeth are off balanced if that makes sense. Like the right side touched the bottom brackets more than the left. The lateral incisor is the worst. Hopefully my bite is functional enough when they come off. I just wish my ortho would make me some effing retainers. Im entitled to that atleast.

Up, close and personal!

There is a gap between my canine and lateral. :/

For all of the people anxious to get their braces off- as great and as exciting it can be (for people who have received the right amount of treatment unlike me) you will miss your braces. I know Im going to. A lot. It was so exciting to see them move everyday. Im not looking forward to the possibility that my teeth will shift. Im scared. I dont want that to happen. But good luck to those getting their braces off soon! :D

Why not keep the appointment (make a new one) and at least find out for sure what your options are there? It's possible the doctor may be able to come up with a different plan, etc. It can't hurt to find out.

Does your school (or the new one) offer insurance? Does it have a dental component? Often those student plans can be a good deal.
