Next time take a sharp stick to stab her with when she hurts you.....

I'm sorry she's so inconsiderate, and terrible at her job. I hope your next visit is MUCH easier and shows MUCH more progress!!

Been there done that. It does matter who does it. I have the clear braces with the little sliding door, and a few of the girls can open the doors like its nothing with no pain. Some of them pry like they are trying to open a 10 year old bottle of alcohol.

I too have a crown, that had a bracket fall off. They put a molar band on it as well. If thats what they are putting the spacer on, I won't lie to you. That hurt bad. It was about an 8 out of 10. Once the spacer was in, it didn't hurt. Just the process of squeezing it in there is what really sucked.

The molar band itself really didn't hurt going on. It was uncomfortable at first but once they glued it on, it wasn't bad. The little catch on the back took a day or 2 to get used to, but it was bearable.

Holy cow. I noticed, when i was done reading your post, that i was clenching my teeth....ouch. I feel really bad that you got that woman again, but good for you for saying something. Sadly she's prob so used to dealing with kids who just have to take it, that she never even thought you'd say something. I"m thinking maybe there's a note in your chart now about who NOT to work on you.
Hope your mouth starts feeling better.

Ok...in rereading my post, I've realized that nurse hatchet made me madder than I thought....cause dental tech SANTAN....is the evil sister of SATAN who uses a tray...and not a try...to hold her devilish tools.

Yes...I really do know how to speel. Sorry, thinking about nurse hatchet again...spell. I...can...spell. Actually my husband had to point out the fact that I...can't spell. So hats off to the old bastard, those glasses did pay off!!!

Hey Jen :)

...so you're a lousy speller, eh? :P You're not alone - believe me! I'm a sign artist, and have had customers from all walks of life come to me for signs. I'm always amazed by the amount of misspellings that I have to correct when people give me their information. If I don't spot it first, it can become a very expensive mistake later on!

Sorry to hear about your last office visit and about your stubborn teeth. Reading your account makes me feel s-o-o-o-o lucky that my own treatment is so gentle in comparison (although my last wire change was no picnic). I think you have the right idea to look at your "before" pictures so you don't get too bummed out by the slow progress. Slow is better than none...the changes are noticeable. I'm sure your family and friends can agree.

Keep sharing your photos and good humor 8)

Mike

So...I woke up this morning and whatdayaknow.........see that tooth??? The one I'm pointing to????????Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Well....that tooth...for the last 37 years, has been behind, the one next to it...on your right...my left, and this morning...or I should say sometime during the night....it decided to poke it's little face, completely out, and join the rest of the club.....the..."I wanna be flossed normally" club...the "I love to march IN A LINE" club....the "I'm no longer willing to hide behind others" club...and boy oh boy.....AM I FRICKIN GLAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now...if only your little cohort on the other side would join in.
I'll take it though...and run like the wind with excitement!!!! Oh ya, and .....I got new blue ligs the last time I was in. So bright!!!

Toodles Peeps...

YAY for big tooth movement!! How exciting! That tooth on my left is trying to come out of hiding as well (he is under Fang), and the same one on the right is trying to go back IN. (way, super lopsided arch, I call him Pokey) They've both made some progress, but I can't wait for them to be in a nice straight row like yours. CONGRATS!!

Hey you guys...thanks for all your great comments!! Evidently, not only do I not know how to spell...but I also don't know my right from my left. Good thing I'm not a proof reader.

One thing though....I have noticed....as my smile starts to straighten out, it's making the other side...more crooked?? My right side is the side that's starting to become straight and less crooked, and as it does...my left side, front tooth and the one next to it, that's still somewhat behind that front tooth...are becoming more crooked. Strange. Must be the old adage...gonna get worse before it gets better. Hey...I'd take half a straight smile over an entire crooked one!!!! :yikes:

Ok, so I was at the park today with the little ones, swinging, playing...frolicking to and fro...minding my own motherly business, when this girl comes up to me, I'd say she was about 14, and says's, "I was watching you from afar  (what teenager uses the word..afar??) and while checking you out  (what? you were checking me out???) I noticed that you have braces and I am getting them next week and was just wondering if it hurts to have/get them? Ok..I must be honest with you, at this point, my very first reaction was to say, "oh hell ya it hurts, so bad that your gonna scream like a little frickin school girl!!!!! )
:jump: :jump: I know, very immature of me..can't help it, I thought it was funny.
Anyway, I was like, no...you'll be fine. You won't even notice you have them, and in the end it'll be the best thing your parents ever did for your teeth. Have fun with it, embrace it, show them off like the proud sista you are. So she was like, ya..I am excited to get them, cause no way would I want to be as old as you :yikes: and have to walk around with them. Thanks for the input, and she walks off.
Excuse me...what did she just say? What? Hello? Oh no you di-int!! Old? Me? Come back here so I can rip out your fake red hair and shove it up your too tight of jeans $ss..Oh ya, and I hate to tell you, but black on your nails...isn't sexy...just weird. Take that you, you, you...little miss I was born in the 90's....you little miss...Justin Bieber lover....you little miss.....good luck, cause I lied...they do hurt and your boyfriend is gonna leave you for a straighter teethed younger Justin Bieber hater. :pinkbraces: :pinkbraces:
Who the hell is she calling old.....I can still party like it's 1999 dammit.

ANYONE who quotes the Carpenters is showing their age. That song was nominated for a Grammy in 1970..... :rawk:

I'll go back to being good now.

Two old age quotes

I want to die young.....just not soon.

Old age is the only disease man knows the cure for, that man doesn't want.
from Citizen Kane

and no I wasn't alive when Citizen Kane was released.
