do i need braces again?

i had braces for just about 3yrs i got them off just at the end of 2009 start of 2010, i had headgear,rpe expander,elastics all that fun stuff lol. Afetr i got my braces off i got my retainers top and bottom both are bonded retainers after a few about 6 months i started noticeing some spaces happening on both sides of my upper teeth and when i smile i notice a little space between my upper front teeth and my bottom where they meet. i was wondering if i will have to go through full braces again? my dentist said that i should go see another ortho to get his oppion casue my dentist said even some of my back teeth dont even allign with bottom teeth. So if i can get some advice that would be great thanks

I think you definitly should - if you can afford it do it because you already went through the pain and suffering of braces for 3 yrs - bravo btw

Maybe you could go cheaper and get invisalign braces if there not that bad at least they would be somewhat unnoticable + a added bonus they make your teeth look really shiney.

If you're doing everything the original ortho told you to do, then I would go back to him and see what kind of a deal he might make to fix it....you didn't spend all that money for a job that isn't working....you don't need to follow thru with the original ortho, but at the very least I would go back just to make him squirm!!!

hello.. you should go back to yor old ortho and sk him or her why this had happened. BUt, in my opinion maybe you needed to have used your retainers for a longer time since bone healing wasn't complete yet, also there are factors of extraoral forces, also maybe some spaces were left which would cause teeth to move into the spaces.
